Day 1 – Essential iOS concepts
Overview of iOS, tools used in development and basic features of an app
Overview of iOS
- The basic structure of iOS and features of Xcode
Anatomy of an App
- How apps are constructed
Basic interaction
- How to build basic apps for user interaction
User interface controls
- Using controls (buttons, switches, sliders, alertViews...etc.) for better user interaction
Scroll views
- Using scrollviews which can display large datasets within a standard screen e.g. large images and pages
Day 2 – Multi scene apps and building apps for different devices
How to build more complicated apps and adapt them for all iOS devices
Switching views
- Building multi-screen apps and passing data between them
Auto Layout
- Building dynamic application that adjust to different screen sizes
Class sizes
- Building dynamic application that adjust to different device types
Stack Views
- Using stack views to display multiple fields/data in the vertical or horizontal directions
Tab bars and pickers
- Using TabBarControllers to display multiple scenes and using pickers to display and select small data sets
Day 3 – Using navigation controllers and tables, persistence and Web
How to build apps that are hierarchical, save data and using web views

- Using Tables to display and select very large data sets
